The closest potential users would be cryptocurrency users. But they feel unwelcome here. I like Bitcoin but am not a bitcoin maxi. So I know people in other projects had a look, but seem to have given up.
Because nostr is not federated, it should be open and welcoming to everyone to succeeed. Ironically, that is probably the best strategy for both nostr and bitcoin.
