Loquendo Laxe on Nostr: Back on Saturday, I discovered the problem with my LN address set-up on my YakiHonne ...
Back on Saturday, I discovered the problem with my LN address set-up on my YakiHonne client. Basically, they provide a set-up that is (roughly) x5 more complicated than your standard Nostr Clients ... who just get the job done with one address, and no fuss.
This is the result of this particular Client giving the opportunity to pre-create multiple addresses and then allow the User to later choose (from a drop-down list) which one actually gets "linked" to one's Profile (to be made "active").
But the drop-down menu is too tiny. Difficult to read. And the "Linking" link remains invisible unless the User slides the cursor to the end of the address (inside the drop down field) to expose it. Obviously, being a "Newbie" I didn't see any necessity to try such a maneuver!
When creating an address, YakiHonne also offer 3 different options (or directions) which presumably caters for the three fundamental ways LN Addresses can be created or registered. This is where Alby is mentioned (as an option).
The resulting need to scratch my head about all of this then caused me to visit the Alby website, which just added another layer of Newbie Confusion.
I've just received two Zaps from YakiHonne, so at least I now know I have my "Pilot's License". ⚡ 😎
