Is there any prior art about using webfinger to discover people by phone number/email address?

I.e., .well-known/webfinger?resource=mailto:the@laxla.quest for email, and .well-known/webfinger?resource=tel:+97250xxxxxxx for telephone numbers.

Could be a neat feature (on opt-in basis of course).
