I wish more people were a bit more skeptical and a bit less gullible. It would solve a lot of problems. Everything from email phishing to conspiracy theories to antiscientific beliefs would be lessened if folks, say, took a moment to wonder "Now why would Elon Musk be wanting to give me 100 Bitcoins via email?" instead of blithely clicking on that link. Critical thinking in general, of which informed skepticism is a vital component, seems like an increasingly lost skillset.
