It's continually interesting to me -- albeit in a "dear god, what is that thing" sort of way -- that some of the people, like Jesse Singal, who are most adamantly opposed to gender-affirming care for minors are also keenly interested in defending pedophiles and pedophilia, which seems like a weird flex among a lot of white male journalism and professional types, especially the transphobic and "free speech" variety.
