I didn't need Harris to blow smoke up my ass. I'm an adult. I don't need to be the center of attention. I don't need quid pro quo. I showed up and voted for her because THAT was my duty to the people and the causes I care about.
It's your DUTY, Citizen. Your reward is civilization. You don't get a cookie.
But that message doesn't sell clicks and likes, so the pundits have to manufacture this martyr complex to sell their own failure.
Bottom line: The failure wasn't Harris, it was us.
