Here's a NZ story which slipped under the radar on Christmas eve. The "former political figure" found guilty of sexually abusing two teens last year has decided to take his case to the Court of Appeal.

His party leader will face some difficult questions when suppression is finally lifted, not least for his decision to allow the man to continue in his role, despite knowing about the abuse.

But honestly, he's only delaying the inevitable.
