Cyberpunk confessions: Years ago, I've been seeding a mirror of libgen from my student flat. It's massive. We used a dedicated machine with huge hard disks, a Torrent client, and a router which provided internet access only through a VPN. The machine was doing nothing but uploading the equivalent of the Library of Alexandria to other humans dedicated to protecting this wealth.
