#WordWeavers 2411.16 — Has anything ever deterred you from writing what you want to write?

Yes. With the right-turn I've taken about... lets call it depicting intimacy... in my stories, all my enculturation about how men and woman are "supposed" to act within their gender roles and western society in general, is pushing back at me, BIG TIME†. Yeah, I write gender fiction but this is a new plateau for me to conquer. I fight it by telling myself, "Complete the flapping story! Worry about salability and marketability later!"

Meanwhile, I procrastinate by answering prompts on Mastodon...
