Gaming awards as a concept were always dumb to me. I never liked the idea of trying to make gaming more like Hollywood, and I never feel like the nominees or winners organically represent how gamers feel, but rather just how the press feels.
Does the average gamer really feel that strongly about some artsy indie game or another sad dad interactive movie winning an award?
