I'm not confusing anything. I think you are missing context. I agree with almost everything you are saying. Let me catch you up to date.
For along time Tommy Robinson in the UK has been trying to "break open" a supressed news story, that every violent sex crime that occurs, especially where there is name supression so that you cannot double-check if he is right or not, he says things like... "it was those damn muslim immigrants! In that culture, rape gangs go around raping women. It's alloweed by Sharia law".. and other bullshit like that. Tommy Robinson is an asset of Mossad. And he has the ear of a lot of American conservatives who believe him.
This is a form of argumentation where I adopt the position of somebody and then use their own beliefs to show them something they didn't see.... it doesn't mean that *I* actually hold their beliefs. But at this point I regret posting the misunderstood post entirely because it was without context as a top-level post. I'm sorry.
Second point of context: Bibi Netanyahu addressed the people of Iran, claiming he was liberating them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLCbo4Zyfyk
It is laughable. Do not believe him. He thinks you "Persians" need water and sewerage. Sounds like he thinks you are primitive animals. And he thinks you are dumb enough to believe what he is saying. But Israel wants to be the local hegemon and Iran is the only country threatening their regional power... he has wanted to take it down for 25 years now.
When you say "the us and israel aren't planning to bomb Iran to support women’s rights" I 100% agree.
"there's no global muslim entity that decides whether muslim women should wear the hijab or not" -- you aren't teaching me something I didn't know. I'm not sure where you go the idea that I thought such a thing. Oh... I see I mistyped Islam where I meant to type Iran. That was not what I meant to type.
The only way women's rights have anything to do with Gaza is that political bad actors are trying to manufacture consent to go to war with Iran... and they will use anything they can in order to win people's consent and acceptance of such a war... and they will badmouth Iran every way they can to make people mad at Iran so that they support such a war.. And one topic that keeps coming up is "Iran makes women wear a hijab! How terrible! Some women have been killed for taking it off! Let's go to war and free them!" .. which is nuts for two reasons: The famous case of a woman severely punished for not wearing a hijab was an outlyer news story, not run of the mill.... women in Tehran often don't wear the hijab... and second because clearly that is not why the US/Israel wants war with Iran, it is just a lie.
So we agree.
