Iran believes that there is a difference between men and women, just like Western conservatives.
Iran believes that there are muslim rape gangs that want to rape women, just like Western conservatives.
Iran is conservative, just like Western conservatives.
Iran is traditional, just like Western conservatives.
Rather than have complete equality and freedom like we do in the West, Iran has chosen a more traditional method to protect their women from getting raped, and that includes wearing a hijab which makes them less "showy" and would-be rapers are then less likely to get horny and then violent.
You may disagree with this strategy (I do). But it is a small difference between Iran and the West. It does not make Iran a horrible human rights abuser.
Don't fall for the propaganda shared between Western warmongers and modern woke feminists. This talking point has come back up to try to drum up support for attacking Iran.
There are thousands of things I could say about the USA that are far worse, and you've been saying them yourself for years so I don't have to bother... I will just assume that the point was made.
The statistics show that Iranian women are graduating from universities in far greater numbers than men, especially in STEM fields. They are not oppressing their women.
