I've thought about it all day, and I've settled on removing my NIP-05 address as github.io is not a domain I own and control. I may not have been using a Nip-05 address from one of the popular "providers", but I have been using a domain I do not own. I have been a dishonest hypocrite by stating my belief that NIP-05 is to be used as a pre-Elon Twitter-like verification and then using a domain I do not own and control for my NIP-05 address. This may seem like a stupid thing to talk about and do, and it may hurt what little reach I have, but it's the right thing to do. And before people start hounding me to use their NIP-05 "provider", don't bother. I will not be adding back an NIP-05 address until it is one using a domain I own. #nostr #accountability
