European countries would need some pretence to attack Russia, wouldn't they?

I doubt "we have to admit Ukraine is after all close to losing the war, contrary to our constant pretend optimism" is going to suffice to convince citizens.

So they will need some fake/real Russian attack that's on a new level of escalation. What would that be?
Maybe like Bucha (not sure it wasn't construed or some false flag) but drastically more severe.
