overview of what is amethyst shadow ban and how it works:
amethyst shadow bans globally any npub who has got some number of reports. im not yet sure what this number is.
when pubkey has reached certain number of reports from any users (not just from follows), following filters are applied to the user account in question:
- all notes by the pubkey are hidden from all search results
- profile is hidden from search results
- all link previews are hidden unless you follow this account
basically its impossible to find pubkey that has reached this report limit in any other way than:
a) directly enter npub
b) navigate through another user who follows this user
