Mozilla never meant to sell user data. It was a loud misunderstanding. But it is still a fact, that Mozillas Firefox is the only browser, that gives some countermeasures to chromium based browsers. And I rather set my bets on a browser base, that mispronounced something then a browser, that stops effective app-blocking.
And I just try to use the least amount of data anyway. For text information I use the browser without JS and uBlock blocking everything that is not html-page and activate reader mode, so trackers can not catch me.
And using VPN together with Firefox/Arkenfox/uBlock I feel quiet save from trackers.
To my protection level: I mostly seek privacy from add trackers, so they can not create profiles of me. I do not mind, being totally anonymous, since I use Nostr and sometimes other logins, which need to be private. But not 100% anonym.

quoting nevent1q…nal6Anybody got alternatives to uBlock Origin now that Chrome has banned it? The idea of using a web browser without an ad/scam blocker is out of the question.
