"content": "that is a RFID tag reader though so not a NFC based type chip - RFID can have a few metres of range. A passive NFC chip only has a range of 0 to few cm max, and needs the reader itself to activate it to be read.\n\nThe passive NFC I use for example has to be physically touched on the reader to work - a few mm above it and it just does not get read.",
