It's surprising to me that it's not more commonly recognized that the (for lack of a better term) "oligarch class" wants to convert life-critical healthcare systems into for-profit, marginalizing, no-pre-existing-conditions-or-poor-people-need apply" systems.
No better business to be in than "pay or die".
That's why few civilized countries other than the USA do it that way.
