Yesterday sucked, because *my* dog went to live with a new family that is going to love her, spoil her rotten, let her sleep on the bed, give her all the belly rubs, and eat peanut butter at least twice a week. (I made them promise.)

Why did I allow this to happen? Because my eldest has long covid, is on the wait list for a service dog, and the agency we're working with doesn't allow other dogs in the home before placement or the first 6 months after.

Doing the right thing is hard.
