Ok, I know lots of people go for the over-under cable coiling method, but if you do it correctly, the "traditional" method doesn't put strain on your cables. Most people don't do it correctly, and you certainly don't want to wrap cables around your hand and elbow willy-nilly, but what makes you think that they'd do the over-under method, which is more complicated, correctly either?
Cable coiling is a skill, and you have to practice at it to get good at it, and most people just don't do that because life is too short. I don't blame them. But I will follow along after them and fix their coils.
