Apparently you just can't in the default Pixel camera app. Disappointing.
One thing that sold me on it is with so many people taking vertical video, 3:4 looks soooo much better than 9:16. Most phone screens these days aren't even 9:16 anymore, so why are we still cropping the video when the result won't even fill the screen anyway?
