yeah, the typical response to "market failure" is "the government should do it". this is fallacious because they wound have at least make the argument that government would do it better. but they typically don't have much of a concept what "government failure" would be and what disqualifies government from certain tasks.

and of course it ignores all options that aren't state capitalist corporations and state socialist bureaucracy. which i think aren't that fundamentally different anyway.
