this is an interesting study that was run twice on monkeys. In the first study, the monkeys that ate less lived longer, but in the second study, monkeys with calorie-restricted diets had same life expectancy as those with unrestricted diets.
What was the difference? The monkey’s diet.
In the first study, they basically ate Purina monkey chow. In the second study they ate a diet similar to what they would eat in the wild.
It’s likely good to eat less overall, it’s eating shit that kills you.
