if there's anything that i am becoming increasingly convinced of, it is the need to just make things no matter how bad it is or how little it really means just because it's fun. i love analyzing art and i love when every element works to create an incredibly cohesive and beautiful piece, but i love just as much when a child scribbles down little cartoon characters randomly in a random notebook. i also think arts school has been so hellish for me because it already serves the basic functions of school, but also tries to apply its objectivity to something even more subjective and personal than learning language and sciences. honestly there's just so much going on there and it's all just fascist bullshit (read abt why school sucks literally anywhere, and the obvious fascism in saying that something needs certain elements to be beautiful).
