Hey all you espresso group (npub1m5z…mdw7) fanatics out there.
Can you try a little experiment for me. I'd love to hear your opinion / taste experience on the following, if your espresso machine has a dedicated hot water function
a) dispense 100ml of hot water out of your espresso hot water wand into a cup (glass or ceramic).
b) put the cup in the fridge, loosely covered until it cools down to "warm".
c) cover it with plastic wrap tightly, right down to the surface of the water (removing all air) and put back in fridge
d) allow to cool to the same temperature as your cold water kitchen faucet. probably 8-10C depending on where you live.
e) Fill an identical glass / cup with 100ml water from your cold water faucet tap.
f) drink both, and try to find / describe any taste differences you get.
