I haven't tried ereaders beyond my reMarkable tablet, which is big enough to be useful for reading academic PDFs.
Trouble I ran into is that academic books I wanted were solely avail under Amazon and usable only on their devices/apps. I tried for three hours to convert to a format I could actually use and finally returned for full refund.
Not impressed that the publisher was essentially shilling for a locked down ecosystem I don't consent to.
