Very grateful for actual allies, but please keep in mind that allyship is a verb, not a title.
That as an ally you should probably listen to what LGBTQ people need, instead of telling them.
That the very least you can do is use your vote to protect LGBTQ rights. If this is too much for you, you don't actually have to go around telling everyone how much of an ally you are 🙄
It's actually better for everyone not to pretend. You look less foolish, and we endure less microagressions.
