Some of you may know about the 1970’s penchant for using rough gray wooden shingles on roofs and even walls.
It was very popular in San Francisco, you still see a fair amount of shingled houses in some neighborhoods.
They are almost always regular rectangular shingles- but this roof added a really nice hexagonal pattern into the shingles in places along the roof.
