We can have a pretty good idea of CO2 emission per passenger km in an airplane (though it gets trickier if you try and factor in manufacturing, infrastructure etc.)
I remember seeing speculative calculations for the CO2 footprint of a Google search, from before the shift to AI search.
Do we have numbers, even if wildly speculative, for the CO2, or at least Wh, cost of a token processes by an LLM in the cloud, like ChatGPT? With or without training factored in?
