I think it can regain some of its lost relevancy if we can somehow push for retailers to start accepting it. Otherwise, yeah it's kinda a meme at this point. You've got the crypto-bros who will love it no matter what, but there's really nothing to spend it on. As a big fan of cypherpunk thinking though, I have to hold out hope that we'll someday get to a place where it's in common use.
