Just to get through this surreal Monday. The internet connection went down while I was updating a server. I call support: "You need to open a ticket online." I go online, try to open a ticket: "Sorry, it only works from the main or backup line." I call support again: "Both the main and the 4G backup are down, so I can't proceed online." Operator: "I don't know what to do, our procedures don't account for this."
Fortunately, the second provider, also down (so I suspected a problem at the exchange) is more agile and smart. One click – an automatic check starts – without me saying or doing anything, I get a confirmation via SMS that they will send a technician to the exchange for a check because they can't reach it.
Needless to say, the first provider is a global giant, and the second is a smaller provider.
I'm more and more convinced about the choice of a smaller provider for FTTH – when, hopefully soon, they'll activate it.
