The Thuringia wing which is led by Höcke has the undeserved fame to be especially right wing, and that is only for the fact, that Höcke uses lots of loaded language (nothing wrong with that) but action wise they are milk toast.
You gotta understand that only in circumstances that exist here in germany after 80 years of indoctrination could a party like the AFD be consindered far right and only because our conservatives are more progressive than american democrats.
They also have a following that would proudly disavow visible far righters like Skinheads, Bikers and the völkisch spectrum... They don't even hesitate to denounce those... And if you could listen to Björn Höcke, his voice and his behaviour, that guy is not serious, he just puts on a show to farm voters on the outer right rim.
We have other less known organisations that actually put the stuff in action others barely dare to talk about, and all of those treat AFD and their active members like Lolcows and there is unity on the fact that they would still get the rope for being cringe!
