Here's an easy question for you: if the universe is a computer simulation, what is that running on? A different computer? And, if so, what is *that* running on?
What this "easy" question shows is that calling the universe a simulation buys us nothing and is unparsimonious.
As for entropy, that showed a profound misunderstanding. Entropy only increases in a closed system; life is not a closed system. Life is a dissipative system: it creates greater disorder outside of itself in return for great order within.
