Describing the Viking raids in England as part of a European power struggle is inaccurate because, at the time, the Vikings were not part of a unified Europe in any political or cultural sense. The concept of Europe as a distinct entity did not exist in the way it does today.

Similarly, while the Vikings reached Greenland and are believed to have landed in North America, they were not Europeans in the modern sense—they were Norse seafarers with distinct identities.

If the Vikings, who lived just over a thousand years ago, cannot be classified as Europeans in the modern sense, then how can people who lived 10,000 years ago be called Europeans when the concept of Europe didn’t even exist?
