Funeral today went okay. And then at dinner, someone spontaneously said something so pointlessly racist and xenophobic that I said "I don't understand, why is [XYZ] relevant?".

And when no explanation was forthcoming, I said "Yeah, I'm out", and just walked out of my partner's parents' house.

I don't care. I drove overnight and skipped my own Thanksgiving to be here, and my thanks is to get terrified and triggered and run away from dinner. I haven't eaten or slept in ages now!

I just feel really low.
