#WritersCoffeeClub Dec 13: "Which novel to TV or movie adaptation was the most disappointing and why?"
Everyone complains about adaptations, so I'm going to flip this. Best adaptations:
- Fight Club: The big reveal was handled so nicely. And the final action made more sense as an anti-capitalist goal.
- The Prestige: The book wandered off in its final 1/3rd. The movie striped it to what was necessary.
- The Expanse: Tightened things up a lot, gave us Drummer, more of Bobbie, Avasarala.
