James is correct, but you can get it from food like oysters, mushrooms eggs etc. But get good quality foods because that is reflected typically in the Vit D content mushrooms produce it when exposed to light and Joel Salatin's tested his eggs and they something like 40,000x the FDA's expected Vit D content.
