my conclusion after using deepseek for a few tasks is (someone also posted this yesterday, i forget who, but i agree) is that it's about at the level of chatGPT v3 currently.
at least for research assistance purposes, it hallucinated a fake citation yesterday for me, gave me bogus info, and couldn't search the web. today it seems to actually be providing some links to citations
for coding it seems ok. need to test it more to see how it is
