I've seen plenty of warnings on the prepaid card section of the conbini, "don't buy prepaid cards for people on the internet, this leads to fraud". But I think that's just the Police State trying to keep people in their cages. They know that if people start doing money/prepaid swaps online it'll make their lives harder, so they try to scare people off of it in spite of it still being a legal activity (afaik).
I certainly wouldn't engage in the trade with my real name or details, though, just to stay on the safe side. Best to stay plausibly deniable whenever possible.
