Collectively our society has adopted the behavioral pattern of young children. We get bored easily, and get frustrated when asked to pay attention to Ukraine, Gaza, climate change, COVID etc. Problems that can't be solved quickly easily and/or demand we have to make changes ourselves. We want the next shiny toy. The political and economic systems need and encourage us to act like spoiled two year olds. And boy are we delivering!
