As an irrational consumer, I want companies to know that if you tell me a thing I might like costs £14, but I then have to click add to basket, fill in name address email, untick several boxes to say I don't want to create an account or receive marketing emails, tick others to say I've read the small print, just to find out shipping is another £12, I almost certainly won't buy your thing.
OTOH if you tell me your thing is £26 delivered, or just have a shipping rates page, I probably willllllllll
