There's something a little ironic about requiring grants to "Enable Open-Source Ecosystems" to go through a university, non-profit or small biz, when most open source projects are none of those things.

Like, I get the purpose: they want credible organizations with accountability mechanisms. As someone who's specialized in open source governance for years, I know how valuable that is.

But also, as someone who's specialized in open source governance for years, I am not eligible for this grant.
