taro is on his way to a very expensive palate with his Taiwan food adventures over the past week.
we went to the crab festival in WanLi and he had little nibbles of fresh steamed crab. literally, we saw them offload the crab pots, sort them by size and then we picked the ones we wanted.
we went to a Japanese seafood restaurant and he had bites of tofu with ikura (salmon roe) he loooved the popping feeling. it was so cute to see his expression change.
last night, we went to the swankiest japanese buffet that my mom had to book months in advance. he had a fancy chawamushi (steamed egg) and got to show off his straw cup drinking skills.
