Lotta folks in these replies seem to think that 6.9M in a CEO salary, paid for entirely by the for-profit wing, is the reason Firefox is not competitive.
Go actually read the [annual financial report[(assets.mozilla.net/annualreport/2022/mozilla-fdn-2022-fs-final-0908.pdf) and tell me again how 6.9M is the difference-maker here.
I'd also just point out that wanting Mozilla to be a non-profit public good and wanting it to directly compete on equal footing with Google somewhat conflicted concepts. And for what it's worth, the Mozilla mission says nothing at all about browser market share. It's possible success for Mozilla is not what you think it is.
