I barely followed the Q-anon madness but if it involved elderly people doing crazy things while fully believing they fight off evil, then yes. Majority of Russian society is both extremely superstitious (with numbers like 50% routinely using services of some "psychics") and surrenders to authority.
Which is easily abused — if you just speak to them from the position of authority, most people will assume you actually have it and will step back. The case study most popularized in the West was probably the call where Navalny called his poisoner and got him all submissive by merely speaking in an authoritative manner.
