As it stands there is not a mobile operating system even close to iOS. Obviously that’s my opinion, but it’s certainly not an unpopular one.
The challenge is getting more than just geeks to any new platform. Apple is so good at simplicity, understanding the consumer, creating products that just work, that they should probably receive their dues if you’re using their platform.
If the FOSS community wanted to try and make GrapheneOS more approachable they might have a shot at this.
In the interim it’s probably best to get these products to a larger audience, cultivate the zaps on the web platforms, and keep Damus on the App Store. When people DEMAND more, they will get more.
In the meantime we can always use Zapple Pay.
