If passed, this bill would vest in the Secretary of the Treasury power to designate nonprofit organizations as terror-supporting and therefore to strip their tax exempt status with insufficient guarantees of due process. Such a law is unnecessary because it already is a federal crime for nonprofit organizations to provide material support to terrorist organizations. (2/3)
