I forgot how much of the modern social media experience is just being shouted at.
Mastodon isn't like that. At least not on my timeline. I've stopped following people who repost trashy memes, or shouty fake photos. I still have a nice mix of grumpy old fellas, because that's my ultimate destiny anyway.
