The "best thing" about it? Because all those above know very well about how the policy would/could be enforced they just stay away anyway, leaving you with the women's space you set out to create. Congratulations: You've build a FLINTA* exclusionary space without even saying so, and made it hard to argue that it is!
For people like me who are comfortable with looking feminine... it's "workable". But the rest of the folx will simply stay away. Many trans mascs in particular struggle to find a community because literally /their/ community is excluding them It's gut wrenching to hear their stories of being rejected and not going anywhere there anymore... since passing. I guess the lone man experience is very gender validating, heh.
There are other policies, e.g., defining a space as queer-feminist and policing behavior rather than bodies (which, yes, FLINTA* does¹). The big argument against such policies is that they'd allow cis dudes.
¹ I had endless of fun in FLINTA* showers at events 🫠 I now go to the men's showers often. I get looks there too, sometimes comments, but at least nothing worse :-)
