Where is decentralized video today? I've looked at Theta, but the Theta token…and web3 ref🤢 hmmph.

We need to get away from the “person as product” and move to video requiring public energy to be served and preserved.

Why not take the zap model but utilize for those willing to host and serve video?

I'm trying to get my head wrapped around some of the workflow and algos, but in a nutshell why not:

1. Create an open source hosting protocol where you receive funds to host and serve video data.

2.) Video creator funds the video with Sats to chosen providers or leaves it to an algo in the hosting pool.

3.) Those that choose to mirror the source video then receive Sats for the amount that they stream. New videos might cost more to 'seed', but benefits to hosts to speculate if vid goes viral.

4.) viewers can help fund videos by
'zapping' and/or important videos might just get donated bandwidth.

5.) Complementing player of course, but also open source - so no censorship, choose your own search algo and recommendations as well.

Zapping a video would be pretty cool. Might even be able to convince one of the upstart 'for profits’ hosts to help launch given a different revenue stream and first mover advantage to integrate.

Am I crazy? Is this in the works/working somewhere? If so, where can I contribute? If not, would you consider lending some expertise to help me jump-start? I think it is worth it.
